This year marks the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.  In 1604, King James I requested that the English Bible be revised.  The new revised edition was published in 1611.  In 1782, the first KJ Bible was published in America. Warner Library is celebrating the anniversary of the King James Bible by displaying a collection of Ted Merriman’s KJ Bibles. Included in the display…

• KJ Bibles published from 1864, 1879, 1888
• A copy of the Protestant Personnel KJ Bible from the US Army (1942)
• Book of Psalms, 1856
• Small replica of the 1526 Tyndale Bible, which was the first English language translation of the New Testament from the original language
