This Thursday night, from 7pm to 9pm, you have a unqiue way to learn about some of the most influential figures in jazz history. Presented by students in Dr. Tyler Flynn’s Jazz in American History, come hear them discuss biographies of some American jazz greats including: Artie Shaw, Stan Getz, Weather Reports, Miles Davis, and others!
In addition to learning about jazz history, the evening will also feature Eastern faculty members Dave Manley and Nimrod Speaks performing jazz pieces from history. Sponored by Friends of the Library, this event is free and light refreshments will be available.
