This semester, Warner Library has been piloting a new service- research consultations.
Eastern students can request an appointment to meet one-on-one with a librarian for assistance with their research. The librarian will help students determine how to begin their research, guide them in the use of print and non-print resources, and explain how best to use them. We’ll also help them refine and focus research topics, develop successful search strategies and identify appropriate sources for academic research projects and assignments. The meetings can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and we try to find a couple of strong resources for the student to use before the meeting’s end. We guarantee that students will feel much more confident in their researching skills and approach after sitting down and speaking with us.
To sign up- visit http://www.eastern.edu/library/research-consultation-request-form. Complete the request form and a librarian will contact you with 24 hours to schedule a day and time.
