With each new semester, changes are bound to occur – and it is no different at the library. This semester, we are proud to announce several databases for you to browse; some of these, in fact, have been around since last semester! But without further ado, here’s a quick preview of what’s new in the library:

Princeton Theological Commons: This database contains over 110,000 resources on theology and religion, many of them primary sources! Developed by Princeton Theological Seminary, the various collections in this database hold books, manuscripts, photographs, audio materials, and more. And better yet, it’s an open access database!

Pixabay: What’s better than a collection of copyright-free photos at your fingertips? Well, if you’re working on a powerpoint, nothing! Pixabay holds over a million photos, all free for use with no attribution needed, and searching is a snap with the search box or browsing by topic. This, like Princeton Theological Commons, is also open access, so have at it!

Gale Databases: Now for the big one – Warner Library’s subscription to Gale’s databases! Have your myEastern login handy, because you will want it to access the vast amount of information stored across this platform. Over forty individual collections on various subjects come together in one place – and it’s all available for Eastern’s students, faculty, and staff!
