April is coming, and that means we’re getting ready or for our Black Out Poetry Contest. Unlike traditional poetry, which is comprised of your own text, black out poetry takes an already created work – like a page from a book, or, a newspaper and the author blacks out (or otherwise covers) words until what remains is their poem.

Some people get a very creative with it, working images into their background to surround the text. You can find several examples if you look online.
