As one contest ends, another begins

This week we’re talking about the end of our March Madness bracket, and the Blackout Poetry Contest.

This week our final two contenders for the March Madness contest are facing off. It’s the ever popular Hunger Games versus the oft studied Fahrenheit 451. When I created the initial draft bracket for March Sadness, I hadn’t expected this outcome. Fahrenheit 451 was not even in the draft. I assumed that books read in school, such as Fahrenheit and 1984, would score low during the initial seeding and be quickly voted out. That said, I’m not surprised that Hunger Games came as far as it has. I wish some of my favorites had managed to stay in a bit longer, but I’m curious to see who comes out of the arena.

Wondering how things could get worse? Here’s some dystopias that didn’t make it to our final bracket.
